Lauren Murray
Atlanta, GA
My name is Lauren and I’m new to Columbus! I’m a Georgia native & proud of it! In my free time, I love to read, cook, travel, exercise, and do anything outdoors. I’m also a recent grad, who was really tired of all that moving around during my schooling years. I went to the University of Georgia for undergraduate school, and Georgia Tech for my master’s degree (I know – house divided!). I stayed in the city of Atlanta for a while after graduating as I began to build my career, but ultimately was looking for somewhere with a bit of a slower pace to settle down in. Once I learned more about Columbus, that sealed the deal! I’m excited to make Columbus my home for years to come.

Scott Miller
Marietta, GA
We’re the Millers! My name is Scott and along with my wife Erin and 10-year old dog Oscar. After growing up and living in the metro Atlanta area our whole life, we decided it was time for a change of pace. So after years of house hunting, we were able to finally pull the trigger, and it’s been a wonderful experience so far.
One reason why we chose Columbus was the opportunity to be part of a tighter-knit community than what was available around Atlanta. One of the biggest changes we’ve found here is that we’re able to just say “yes” to everything. Events are so close, with no traffic, free parking, and are often free themselves, that we can just say why not, and check out everything! It’s helped us quickly feel like we’re part of the community, while seeing all the city has to offer.

Thea Chambers
Virginia Beach, VA
My name is Thea Chambers, and I’m proud to call Georgia my home. While I’ve always cherished the Peach State, and even though I spent the last 19-plus years living in Virginia Beach, VA—a place that became my beloved home away from home, GA was always on my mind. Though my time there was filled with wonderful memories, my heart yearned to return to my roots, and now I’m back where I belong.
I’m grateful to have my dear mom and sister nearby in Columbus, along with many relatives in the Atlanta area. My family, boyfriend, friends, and work are the core of my passion, and I find immense joy in caring for others.
Singing is one of my greatest loves. Over the years, I’ve shared my voice on various stages—from symphonies and worship bands to singing the National Anthem at major baseball and hockey games, and much more.
I feel truly blessed to be part of the Columbus community and am forever thankful for this incredible opportunity.

Will Bishop
Tucker, GA
Born and raised in Columbus, GA, I spent my childhood biking to Cooper Creek Park to play tennis and playing guitar at local churches. My love for music inspired me to start a band, performing frequently at Gallery 13 (RIP), The Foxhole (RIP), and The Loft downtown. With a group of nine friends, I moved to Nashville, TN, where I spent seven years playing music and working at a recording studio. When the pandemic hit, I transitioned to a career in software development. After two years in Atlanta enjoying good food and close friends, my wife Lindsay and I are excited to return to Columbus, buy a house, and be closer to family. We're looking forward to reconnecting with our roots and contributing to the community that shaped us.
