The inaugural RushSouth Music Festival was the ideal opportunity to amplify awareness of Columbus as a live, work, play destination. Columbus 2025’s involvement allowed us to engage with festival-goers and capture valuable information from individuals who may be interested in relocating to Columbus. With the main goal of marketing Columbus to potential talent, we are thrilled to present three strategic investments that not only enhance the festival experience but also promote our vibrant community.

    By showcasing Columbus to festival-goers, we aim to attract talent and new residents who can contribute to the growth and development of our city. These newcomers bring fresh perspectives, skills, and energy that can drive innovation and enrich our community in countless ways. They become part of the fabric of Columbus, further enhancing our reputation as a welcoming and inclusive place to live and work.

    We are proud to introduce the Columbus Riverfront Lounge – a haven for festivalgoers seeking a moment of relaxation and local immersion. Our lounge provides the perfect sanctuary to sit, relax, drink, snack on local foods, and rejuvenate amidst the festival's excitement.

    As part of our commitment to Columbus's growth, we're capturing information from everyone who enters the lounge. This data will allow us to tailor future marketing efforts based on whether our guests are locals or visitors.

    Local vs. Visitor Distinction wristbands help us identify locals from visitors. Visitors will be connected with Columbus Ambassadors who will be at the lounge to cultivate Columbus conversations, answer any questions, and chat about anything related to our vibrant city.

  • Exclusive Steely Works Design & Merchandise

    Columbus 2025 is honored to have partnered with Steely Works to fund the official poster for the upcoming Rush South Fest. This exclusive design captures the essence of the festival, infusing it with Steely's signature style and creativity.

    Brian Steely has built a cult following based on his unique monoline style, and his reputation has earned him a rockstar following in social and design circles. Whether it's surfboards, software, bands or beer, pro football or national parks, Steely’s work is simply unforgettable.

    Additionally, Columbus 2025 has invested in a limited run of merchandise featuring Steely's captivating design. These exclusive items will be available for sale exclusively at the Rush South Fest, giving festival-goers the opportunity to take home a piece of this unique artistic collaboration.

RushSouth Integrated Plan Deliverables

Columbus 2025’s Marketing Agency, Jackson Spalding, will develop a Paid Media Campaign focused strategies, tactics and assets to engage with RushSouth attendees and to leverage traffic to amazingcolumbusga.com. Specific deliverables include:

  • Updated logo, messaging and creative repurposed from refreshed identity and JSX deliverable

  • Hero image, banner or pop-up to drive visitors to the event landing page

Event landing page

  • A dedicated event landing page, hosted on amazingcolumbusga.com, will serve as a destination for paid media traffic to learn more about event activation, life in Columbus and resources for moving.

  • A second landing page will be developed for the lead gen program, summarized below. This landing page will allow users to self-identify (based on audience profiles) to receive customized content package.

Email Marketing

  • Series of emails sent leading up to, during and after the event to encourage ticket holders to visit the booth/activation and to register for monthly emails about living in Columbus

  • Includes template development and 3 email sends

  • Provide copy to Yalla for intro email they’re sending to ticket holders

Lead Generation & Nurture

  • Utilize CRM platform (HubSpot) to capture attendee information for booth visitors

  • iPads at welcome stations will display a landing page that will be integrated with the CRM platform for lead capture

  • QR code scan on signage will direct users to the landing page that will be integrated with the CRM platform for lead capture

  • Create poll questions to send out throughout the festival to narrow in on actual prospects and follow up
